Trained by Dr. Francine Shapiro, since 1996 I have been using EMDR therapy with adults dealing with adverse life events, complex PTSD, depression, family of origin issues, addictions, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, loss and grief, self-esteem, performance, and the psychological impact of cancer.
I am an EMDR Institute Basic Trainer, the Listserv Moderator of the EMDR Institute Internet Discussion List, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, an EMDR Institute Facilitator, an EMDR Basic Trainer for Trauma Recovery/EMDR HAP. I serve on the EMDR Research Foundation Board of Directors, and the Edtiorial Board of the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research. In 2018 I received the Elizabeth Snyker Memorial Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service from Trauma Recovery EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program.

By accessing a natural psychological healing mechanism in the brain, EMDR, more than any other training or skill, has taught me to trust each person's innate capacity to heal from both trauma and neglect. My clients, and the clinicians I provide consultation to, inspire me as they resolve the issues that have held them back from fully experiencing life engagement and meaning.
In addition to my expertise in EMDR to clear the unresolved life experiences that inhibit full potential in individuals, I also have advanced training and expertise in the treatment of addictions, the treatment of psychological distress from cancer diagnosis and treatment, PTSD, grief, issues of intimacy, and codependence.
